Round Chair Table with Scrubbed Top - C. 1820 - 1830

Larger Chair Tables

The top pivots to make a chair, not the most comfortable of seats, but I can promise you, you will have good posture. I made this table, table #112, for Nancy Stuard Bassford, who was Nancy Reagan's and the White House's Folk Artist, during President Reagan's first Administration; a nice lady. The table top is made in 42" or 48" diameter, in between sizes are also available. This style and size of Chair Table can be placed in a nice nook and, if needed, it can be converted to an extra chair. The Chair Table will seat four average sized adults comfortably. After the meal, the Chair Table can be converted to a chair by pulling two pins. The Chair Table can be placed against the wall and out of the way so as to provide additional room in the kitchen. A country piece of furniture that is very functional as well as decorative, adding to any country decor.

This image shows the Chair Table set up as a chair. The size of this table and its flexibility has made it very popular with apartment and condo dwellers. This photo was taken in a wonderful C. 1816 brick home in Worthington, Ohio.
