Furniture - Since each piece is a custom order, I like to talk to you personally. There are too many details to use E-mail, I believe. Clear communication, when ordering, is a must to ensure your satisfaction and, of course, to also avoid mistakes.

Smalls - Here again, I believe that communicating with you, the client, is a must. Also, you may have several questions.

Windsor Chairs/Settees - You could use the E-Mail, but if you want to ask questions about painted finishes, different styles or maybe chair construction, the phone is still your best form of communication.

        When you place an order and we have received your deposit, we will send you a receipt that will restate your order in detail and it will also act as a receipt for your deposit. The purpose of restating your order on the receipt form is to allow you to check over the details of your order and to make any corrections, additions or deletions. Then once we are ready to begin making your piece(s), we will, as a final check on your order, ask that you "sign off" on a form that we will send you.

        Any payment may be made with a personal check (when using personal checks to make payment, we will wait until your check has cleared before shipping), bank check, money order or anyone of the following credit cards: MASTER CARD, VISA, DISCOVERY OR AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD.

        Ohio (Franklin County) sales tax will be added to all sales made within Ohio at 6.75%.

        Of course, no third party checks will be accepted.

        All transactions are to be in USA currency, please.

FURNITURE-PACKING and crating your pieces is done professionally. Please note that the client is responsible for the cost. I ship through Roadway. If you prefer a different company, that is certainly fine with us. The client is also responsible for all shipping and related charges. If the piece is damaged in shipment, the claim should go to the insurance company. Insurance during shipping is available. The client is responsible for the premium. Ask and we will give you insurance information. Any repair should be done locally and arranged for by the client. We will help if we can.

I arrange for the shipping from Columbus. Once it leaves Columbus, the client is responsible for tracking the shipment and for the delivery arrangements of the piece(s) to the final destination. I will give you all the info you will need - it is not difficult. I'll give you advice and necessary phone numbers. This takes some of the client's time, but the client is the only one who really knows what is going on at the destination point. I learned the hard way on this one, too! Please feel comfortable calling me for any assistance you might need.

 

SMALLS - They are sent out UPS with insurance being an option. I would insure your order most definitely. The client is responsible for all shipping and related costs, including insurance. If a piece is damaged in transit, I will repair it assuming it can be repaired. I give you the bill and UPS reimburses you. If you do not insure your piece(s), the cost to repair it or replace it falls upon you, the client. If Fireside is found liable due to faulty packing, for instance, then we will repair or replace the item(s) at our discretion, with no charge to the client. If Fireside Reproduction is not responsible for the damage, then all shipping costs relative to the repair or replacement of the piece is the responsibility of the client.

 

WINDSOR CHAIRS & SETTEES - These pieces are shipped motor freight, as is the furniture. The shipping cost is the buyer's responsibility as always. The chairs and settees are placed in heavy-duty cardboard boxes. The piece is held in place by various methods. This is done so the pieces will not be free to move within the box, thus, lessening the possibility of damage. Crating charges are the responsibility of the client. Insurance, or as the trucking companies say, liability coverage is available.

I can give you pretty close estimates of all these potential charges. As with furniture, I arrange for shipping here in Columbus. It is the client's responsibility to track the shipment and to make arrangements for delivery to its final destination point. I will assist the client in any way I can. I can also supply necessary phone contacts and phone numbers.
