Early Hanging Shelf - C. 1750 +/-

This little shelf was found in an old Garth Auction House catalog, if my memory serves me correctly. The shelf displays the Queen Anne "Horns", that I believe are a very attractive Period design feature; it never fails to catch my eye. The original shelf had excellent construction; we build our reproduction shelf in the same manner. The bottom shelf is hand-dovetailed into each side. The top shelf is wedged mortise and tenoned into each side as well. Made the same way as the original, this is a very sturdy little shelf. Other styles of original country shelves are available, please call for information - thank you. The shelf shown is in my smooth, aged mustard milk paint. It is just a nice little country shelf of sturdy construction that is very versatile and useful; it would be very comfortable in virtually any room in your Home. The shelf is 17 3/4" H x 17 1/2" W x 6" D. (3) P.S. Some clients have hung their shelves upside down; to each his own.

        Prices: $165.00 in natural pine
$195.00 in worn and aged Grungy™ milk paint

        (3) - For hanging purposes, the top shelf is indented 1/16" +, i.e. when the shelf is up against the wall, there is a narrow open space left between the top shelf and the wall to allow for an angle brace to be placed to hang the shelf; two angle braces are recommended for balance and stability.
