As mentioned in the text of our website, we take great pride in making our various pieces. We try to make our pieces look and even feel as authentic as possible; the antique wood, the old original square nails, the old milk paint, old style surfaces, and other items and methods that we employ to try to reach our goals of offering some of the best reproductions available for your consideration.

However, and this is very important to us, we do not want to ever have any of our pieces used by anyone to commit fraudulent acts, i.e. attempting to deceive someone as to the age, originality and/or value of any of our reproductions.

It is Fireside Reproductions' intent that each of our pieces be enjoyed by our valued clients and that no one be subjected to fraudulent acts by unscrupulous people misrepresenting our work. We sign, date, and number each piece.

1.        As with all of our pieces, please call us for prices, deposit amounts, and any other information you would like.

2.        All of our pieces as mentioned in our website text are available without wear and aging, if you prefer. There would be a price consideration(s), of course.

3.        With each color of milk paint, the shade of a color may vary to some degree. The shades seen in person may differ from shades seen on your computer. I am told in order to view the true colors of our pieces that you need to calibrate your monitor once a month. I am assuming it would also affect colors you're seeing on other websites as well. I am not high tech inclined, I am just passing on what I've been told.

3A.      We do not attempt to match colors or shades of colors. For example, build and paint a cupboard that will match or go with "carpeting, draperies, etc. Experience has taught us, i.e. we have learned the hard way. I hope you will understand.

4.        We do not have a retail shop.

5.        Our woodworking shop is what is called a closed shop, i.e. no "tours" or visits; we are sorry but our insurance will not cover an open shop operation.

6        .We no longer sell our pieces on a wholesale basis. Frankly, we could not keep up with orders in a timely manner - nor could we maintain quality control - finding qualified artisans is also a consideration.

7.        Time to wait after placing an order; we try to give an honest, fair estimate as to when you can expect your piece(s) to be completed. Of course, it depends on the number of orders ahead of you and what those orders are for. Interruptions can and do occur from time to time, but we do our best to keep up. We will not, however, rush a piece to completion in order to meet a "deadline".

8.        We have NO mass production methods; NO assembly line operation, and nothing is purchased "off the rack". Each piece we make is made specifically for you, the person who ordered it, i.e. Mrs. Smith's table is made for Mrs. Smith; as we work on her table, we have Mrs. Smith in mind.

9.        No 2 pieces of the same item are identical in appearance.

10.      We sign, date and number each piece we make.

12.      I personally inspect each and every piece of our work before it is sent to you.

13.      Fireside Reproductions recycles, not one(1) tree was cut from our valuable forests to make your Furniture or Small.
