Counter Top Desk - Counter Top Desk

Hand-dovetailed case and gallery. Of course, 200 +/- year-old white pine is used throughout its construction. A nice country counter top desk. It would look great in any room in your Home; the den, kitchen (great "small things" storage), family room or perhaps on an early table (4) in your entry way - a handy place for outgoing or incoming mail, car keys, things you're apt to misplace or even lose, would now have their own keeping place. I found this nice early desk in Russell Kettle's book, The Pine Furniture of Early New England, pg. 108. A country desk that offers handy storage in a country manner.

        18" W x 16 3/4" D x 10" H at rear; 4 3/4" H at the front.

Prices:  $490.00 in natural aged pine
$560.00 in worn and aged Grungy™ milk paint

(additional photo below)

This photo shows the interior details; the scrolled cubbyhole dividers, the under shelf storage as well as the attractive scrolled header over the cubbyholes. The cubbyhole dividers are mortised into the supporting shelf for greater stability, just as was done on the original desk.

        (4) You say you don't have an early table in your entry way, well -----.
